Buckner in Ethiopia
In May 2006 Buckner expanded its African ministries to Ethiopia. Buckner runs a baby home, an adoption program and a community development center in Bantu. It also sponsors mission trips to lead Vacation Bible Schools, provides medical and vision care and an adult literacy program.

Buckner in Kenya
Buckner conducted its first mission trip to Kenya in 2002. Service in the country has since grown to include a foster care program, financial assistance for foster families, operation of a child development center in Busia and the Baptist Children’s Center in Nairobi. A Buckner-run medical clinic at the Baptist Children’s Center also serves to treat people for HIV/AIDS and malaria.
